Staci began at SUArt as an instructional associate while pursuing her graduate degree in Museum Studies at Syracuse University. With a bachelor’s degree in Art and Design from the South Carolina School of the Arts at Anderson University, designing for the gallery presented a unique opportunity to combine two fields of interest: museums and art and design.
Her museum background becomes important when designing for the gallery. She looks at the objects and pieces in our exhibitions in order to cultivate and translate relevant context for them through the graphics and posters seen here in the galleries and on campus. This framework helps inform the creative decisions that she makes when choosing period-relevant fonts, layouts, and colors to allude to a bigger picture of when or how the works were created.
