Seeing the Light of Day, Selections by the Registrar

SUArt Galleries
January 10 through March 8, 2019

Seeing the Light of Day is an exhibition curated from the perspective of the Registrar, Laura J. Wellner. Drawing from her intimate knowledge of Syracuse University’s treasures housed in our storage facilities, and her many years of experience conducting the annual inventories, she brings together an eclectic and whimsical sampling of artwork from the Syracuse University Art Collection that have never been on display in our galleries or lent to another institution for an exhibition. The artworks represent the depth of the history of the Art Collection, the artists, their individual creativity, and the common and unique art making materials and techniques.
