Hale Woodruff and his Legacy: Paintings, Drawings, and Prints

Hale Aspacio Woodruff was for over fifty years one of America’s very important and influential artists. Throughout his productive lifetime, he contributed greatly to the rapid development and growth of the visual arts in this country, not only with his own extraordinary creative abilities, but also as a teacher and mentor to countless emerging artists including Augustus Freundlich, former Art Department Chair at Syracuse University.

This exhibition included 6 paintings by Woodruff and 6 prints by artists Wilmer Jennings, Frederick Jones and Robert Neal who were influenced by him.
