Diana Wege: Land American Leaves Wild
December 8, 2000- February 2, 2001
This exhibition included paintings of 24 National Parks and Nature Conservancy sites visited by Syracuse alumna Diana Wege between April 1996 and April 1998. During that 25 month span, Ms. Wege using a Wilderness Society map and a desire to visit and record rich landscapes, made trips around the United States visiting watershed areas, grasslands, mountains, and wildlife refuges. Some of the landscapes include The Green Mountains National Park, Nag’s Head Woods, Denali National Park, Joshua Tree National Park, and the Gallatin National Forest.
