Twin Stories of a Photographer and a Painter
November 13, 2018, 6:30 PM
Joyce Hergenhan Auditorium, Newhouse 3
The Department of English, College of Arts and Sciences, in collaboration with SUArt Galleries and the Syracuse University Humanities Center, organizer of the 2018-19 Syracuse Symposium™ Stories, presents a public screening of Trisha Ziff’s double-portrait of the Witkin brothers, painter Jerome Witkin (Syracuse University Emeritus Professor) and his twin brother and photographer, Joel-Peter Witkin. An intensely human film, this presentation addresses the philosophy of their practices, their art, and personal relationships.
Please join us for a light reception before the screening and Q&A with Jerome Witkin and Trisha Ziff after the film
